Slow light
Lysthaven is a one-room candle studio. We make a small number of scents, pour them by hand, and send them out in packaging that can be recycled or reused.
Restraint is the recipe
We started with one question: why do so many candles smell louder than the rooms they are meant to quiet? Our answer was to use less — fewer notes, simpler materials, longer cures.
Each candle is poured by hand in Aarhus from a soy and rapeseed wax blend, with an untreated cotton wick matched to the vessel. The ceramics are made in small runs and are meant to be kept and refilled.
We would rather sell fewer candles that you love than many you forget. If something is not right, write to us and we will make it right.
